"Gratitude is the heart's memory."

Contrary to popular opinion, one thinks with the heart and not the head. The ability to feel gratitude is a heart trait and in order for it to have its full effect there must be an expression of it. In our present hustle and bustle we seem to forget the privileges we have in being alive on this Earth. We don't tell people (friends, family, colleagues) how much we appreciate and cherish them, we fail to give God the glory and praise due to Him and we neglect to be the best that we can be. Every single day of our lives there's a battle on against being ungrateful for life itself and all our blessings, tangible and intangible.
In this season it's not all about getting ahead, it's also about taking the time to stop, appreciate and be thankful for where you have been and what you've come through. Allow yourself the freedom to be at one with the feelings of your heart - acknowledge the great things you have in life and give thanks for them. Don't let feelings of thankfulness remain unspoken - express your gratitude to life by being and giving your best and most importantly share the love you feel for others with them, it will change both of your lives forever.

Your Top 5 Questions About Water
Why is Water so important?
Next to air WATER is the most important part of our existence
It plays a role in nearly every body function from regulating temperature and cushioning joints to bringing oxygen to the cells and removing waste from the body. Our bodies are 70 - 80 % water and brain cells are 75-85% water. Water moves nutrients deep into tissues, picks up wastes and, keeps us cool.
How much water should I drink?
Your body needs 1 quart of water per 50 pounds of body weight to function at an optimal level. The average 150 lb. Person needs 12 cups of water per day.
How can I tell if I'm not drinking enough water?
A simple way to help you know if you are getting enough water is to examine the colour of your urine. Ideally, it should be very lightly coloured. If it is dark then it is likely to be very concentrated urine and you should significantly increase your water intake.
Dehydration is the number one stressor of the human body. It is a major disease producer. Some of the classic symptoms include:
- Sinus problems, allergies, breathing difficulties
- Joint discomfort, neck pains etc
- Obesity, digestive problems
- Headaches
- Heart problems
- Stress... leading to chronic fatigue
- Sleep disorders
- Depression...
In a very informative book called Our Body's Many Cries for Water by Dr. Batmanghelidj, studies by medical experts explain how most of the pain sensations we experience are the result of moderate or acute dehydration
What is the best type of water to drink?
There are a few ways to obtain healthy water in your home:
- Buy bottled spring water. This kind of water is acceptable but expensive and also negatively impacts the environment.
- Filter your water. Filtered water can be obtained through low-cost filters, such as those provided by Brita. These work well to remove impurities but may not remove fluoride.
- Reverse osmosis: It is a water filtration system that removes virtually all impurities from water. It is the most affordable and effective system available. ( contact Michael Schwindt, Purified Water To Go,2714 Yonge Street,416 485-7724, pwtg@sprint.ca )
Do juices and coffee count as water?
You can get water by consuming fruit juice, soft drinks, beer, coffee or tea. Unfortunately, while such drinks contain water, they also may contain substances that are not healthy and actually contradict some of the positive effects of the added water. Your body digests water differently than it does fruit juices. With caffeinated drinks, because if its diuretic effects you should have 1 8-ounce glass of water for each 8-ounce glass/cup of caffeinated drinks you consume.
