Choosing Doing Over Feeling 2009-12-05
My challenge to myself during the next 27 days is to be not led by my feelings. I will rely on my goals to motivate me and continue to do what I need to do everyday regardless of what mood I’m in.
Cheryl's 30 Day Weight Loss Challenge- Day 13 2009-12-04
This is HUGE. I am down 8lbs...it feels good...but more importantly, I am committed to not losing these same 8lbs again...this Christmas or next.

Follow Cheryl's journey as she works to lose 20 pounds in 30 days but maintaining a very busy life during the Crazy Christmas season!
There is nothing like the promise of a new day, new beginning.
As hopeful as I feel, I must admit that I was challenged with deciding which foot to place on the floor beside my bed this morning as though it would forever change the course and outcome of the 30 day challenge that Cathy and I concocted during our training session on Saturday morning! I have come to the conclusion that with the grace of God that I have the choice of both feet, the key is putting one foot in front of the other for the next 30 days.
I have been on this '30 day challenge' for most of my life. This is NOT new. What it provides however is something that is bite sized and dear I type, achievable. I have a TON (pardon the pun) of weight to lose...ok, perhaps not a TON but 65lbs to get myself to a healthy BMI, to shed the cloak that keeps me from truly living H2T (head to toe) of all the fabulousness of what I believe that I was put in this universe to realize.
The 30 day challenge constitutes a daily commitment and renewal to 3 core elements:
- daily meal plan that includes proteins, vegetables, fluids and the right carbs.
- daily exercise - minimum of 30 minutes.
- daily renewal to ensure that I keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Who starts something like this approaching December by the way? Me. Finally ready.
I have to stop just talking consciously and truly live my life consciously.
I will only get out of this what I put into it.
Cheryl
